Thomas Conry

Thomas M. Conry, 71, of Dyersville, Iowa died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Good Neighbor Society, Manchester, Iowa surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held 2 -6 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a Celebration of Life ceremony will commence at 6:00 p.m. to include memory sharing. Tom was born December 17, 1944 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Thomas and Doris (Schumacher) Conry. He married Janet C. Kirkpatrick on August 14, 1965 in Dubuque, Iowa. Tom coached Little League for many years. He was an active member of the Lions Club in Dubuque and Dyersville. Tom started his career at Xavier Hospital in Dubuque, which led him to assist & establish the X-ray department at the Dyersville hospital. Later he was the Vice President of the Ertl Company for 17 years and preceded his career in Human Resources until his health declined. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and woodworking. Before his health declined, Tom had the opportunity to make many memories with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jan, 4 children: Kevin (Dayna) Conry of Quincy, IL, Kerri (Matt) Alleman of Ankeny, IA, Kelli Harter of Dyersville, Kyle Conry (fiancé, Kristi Hillers) of Delhi, 10 grandchildren: Kindi, Katie, Kami Conry, Jacob, Joshua and Natalie Alleman, Makenzie, Brock, Brayden Harter, Sydney Conry, sister, Mary (Fred) Weiler of East Dubuque, IL, in-laws: Lee “Rusty” Kirkpatrick of Dubuque and Marilyn Kirkpatrick of Lancaster, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law: Lloyd and Ruth (Foley) Kirkpatrick, sister, Kathleen Thorson and sister-in-law, Barbara Kirkpatrick.
