Troy Dean Ihde

Troy D. Ihde, age 43, of Garnavillo, formerly of Dyersville, IA, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City surrounded by his family. He was born on September 2, 1968, to Lynn and Kay (Mueller) Ihde in New Hampton Iowa. Troy grew up in Garnavillo and graduated from the Garnavillo High School in 1986. He then received his Bachelors degree from the University of Dubuque. For the last 20 years, Troy lived in Dyersville and worked for Scale Model Dyersville Die Cast until moving to Garnavillo in recent months. Troy enjoyed attending the dog races, dirt track car races, playing card games such as poker or euchre and spending time with friends and family especially at Deer Camp. Troy will be forever loved and cherished by his parents, Lynn (Kay) Ihde, brother, Todd (Kathy) Ihde of Garnavillo, and their children, Stephanie, Kristopher and Eric Ihde; sister Tami (Don) Whalen of Cedar Rapids and their children, Ryan, Alex, Connor, Nathan, Grace and Jacob Whalen; maternal grandfather, Harold L. Mueller of Garnavillo and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Calvin (Iola) Ihde and his maternal grandmother, Ivanell "Ivy" Mueller.In Lieu of all styles of sympathy a memorial has been established for Troy and they may be sent to P.O.
