Vera A.E. Utterback

Vera A.E. Utterback, age 97, of Bartlett, IL, died Friday, November 7, 2014, at Victory Center of Bartlett in Bartlett, IL. She was born on July 19, 1917, the 3rd of five children to John and Odessa Troester. Vera was born and raised on farms in the Guttenberg area. On May 26, 1979, Vera was united in marriage with James Utterback. In the 50s, Vera was a manager of an apartment building in Chicago. She also was a sales representative for Avon products for several years. Vera later managed the mail room for Trustmark Insurance Company. Vera was a strong supporter of MS awareness and she always walked and participated in fund raisers to support that cause. She was an avid bowler and she kept up with that bowling in a seniors league every week until health issues forced her to stop at the age of 95 . Vera is survived by her grandchildren, Scott Davidson, Kelly Shaevitz, Erin (Glenn) Kolota; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; nieces, Faith Noack, Sally Farley; nephews, Donald and Dale Troester; step son and daughter in law, Don (Gail) Utterback; very dear friend, Joann Tardiff and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and daughter in law, Robert and Mary Pat Davidson; siblings, Gwendolyn Noack, Neal Troester, Phyllis Wisherd, Frank Troester; nephews, Sam Noack and Gaylord Friedlein.Funeral Service: Thursday 1:30 P.M.
