Verdus Schroeder

Verdus Edward Schroeder was born the son of Edward and Louise (Kahle) Schroeder on September 28, 1929 on the home farm near Guttenberg. He passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Verdi attended the local country school and farmed his entire life. Farming was his great passion. He enjoyed raising livestock especially his sheep. He always had a dog on the farm to help him out and to keep him company. Even when the neighbors were working in the fields, Verdi would jump on his tractor and help out if he could. Verdi will be missed by his three nieces, Shirley (Jim) Schmelzer of Garnavillo, Beverly (Jim) Hays of Grand Junction CO and Marjorie (Tom) Kuboushek of Calmar and many close friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Darlene; two brothers Harold and Delos and his wife Dorothy Schroeder.Visitation: Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 P.M.
