Virginia Schaetzle

Survivors include one brother; LaVerne H. "Mish" Schaetzle of Dyersville, Iowa, a sister; Lucile Stephens of Bettendorf, Iowa, a sister-in-law, Joy Schaetzle of New Vienna, Iowa and 11 nieces and nephews. Preceding Virginia in death were two brothers; Julian and Louis Schaetzle a sister; Laura Belle Blamey, and a nephew. Virginia was born August 16, 1915 in New Vienna, Iowa the daughter of Henry T. and Mary Olive (Hoefer) Schaetzle. She was the owner and operator of the Schaetzle Tavern in New Vienna for 56years, until her retirement on December 10, 2000. She was a member of the St. Boniface Altar Society and a Charter Member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Ginger was a very sweet person who treated everyone with impartiality and fairness. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where an Altar Society and V.F.W. Auxiliary Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. and the Parish Scripture Service will be held at 5:00 p.m.
