DYERSVILLE, IOWA Wilfred C. Pasker, 88, of Dyersville died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home surrounded by family. Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a vigil service will be held at 4:00 p.m. and American Legion Post 137 will conduct a service at 7 p.m. Friends may continue to call from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 137. Rev. Raymond Burkle will officiate. Rev. Noah Diehm will concelebrate. Wilfred was born February 11, 1925, in Colesburg, Iowa the son of William and Cecilia (Fangman) Pasker. He married Dolores Platten on July 10, 1952 in Colesburg, Iowa. Together they lived in Dyersville, where he worked as a plasterer and mason. He enjoyed playing cards, the Chicago Cubs, and watching classic TV. Surviving are his wife, Dolores, 4 sons: Dale, Marvin (Jane), Brian (Lois), all of Dyersville and Bruce of Waukee, IA; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret (Jerome) Vondran of Galena, IL; in-laws: Florella Burkle of Farley, Mary (Ralph) Vaske, Jeanette (William) Digmann, Roger Platten all of Dyersville, George (Judy) Platten of Colesburg, and Bernadine (William) Koelker of Nevada, IA. He was preceded in death by one son, David H. Pasker in 2010; his parents, William and Cecilia Pasker; siblings: Alfred, Leander, Clarence (Agnes), and Anthony (Sally) Pasker, Evelyn (Henry) Kruse, Matilda (Clement) Niehaus, and Catherine (Walter) Kruse; mother and father-in-law, Henry and Florentine Platten; and a brother-in-law Arnold Burkle. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all of the Amy's of Hospice of Dubuque for their compassionate care, and to Cookie Scherrman for her kindness and support.
