William Reimer

William Henry Reimer, age 83, of Garnavillo, IA, died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home. He was born on February 11, 1934, in Lansing, IA, the son of Henry C. and Laura (Holmes) Reimer. William received his education at Elkport, IA. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines and received an honorable discharge. William worked for John Deere for 30 years until retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and handiwork around the home. William was united in marriage to Marilyn I. Fessler on November 5, 1955. Those left to cherish his memory is Williams wife of 61 years, Marilyn of Oneida; five children: Gerald (Jeanne) Reimer of Crystal, MN, Mary (Don) Tyler of Garnavillo, Lori (Greg) German of Masonville, John (Karen) Reimer of Stitzer, Wis and Roger (Shelly) Reimer of Garber; twelve grandchildren: Ryan, Emily, Robbie, Kristi, Isaac, Angie, Stephan, Ashley, Matthew, Michael, Kayla and Greg; one brother, Alfred Reimer and many other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling, June (Carl) Waterman. William will be greatly missed.
